Get Started
Bee Bot is great for teaching sequential programming - build a maze of toys to navigate Bee Bot through, then pre-program the Bee Bot to navigate it's way through the maze.
Use the orange arrow-buttons to program Bee Bot to move forwards or backwards by 15cm, or rotate 90° clockwise or anti-clockwise. Press the green GO button to start, pause and unpause the program.
Get Inventive
- Teach Programming Loops
- Build a maze with repeating aspects - your maze can be solved by making a short program and then pressing “Go” again and again to loop that program!
- Teach Literacy
- Get some large pieces of paper and draw out a grid of 15cm squares. Put different letters in each square and use the Bee Bot to move around the grid to spell out words.
- Teach Numeracy
- This time put different numbers and mathmatical symbols in each square, and use the Bee Bot to move around the grid to answer questions or form entire sums.
- Teach Object and Colour recognition
- This time choose from putting different colours or objects in each square - they could be basic shapes such as circles and triangles, they could be animals, foods - whatever you are teaching today!
