Becoming a member
Membership of the library is free to all residents of the local government areas covering the CNRL region, ie, Tamworth Regional, Narrabri Shire, Gwydir Shire, Liverpool Plains Shire, Uralla Shire and Walcha Council.
There is no minimum age for joining but those under 18 years require the consent of their parent or guardian.
Register online
You may join the library online via the library website or app. You will then need to visit your local library and present proof of your current local address to receive your library card.
Conditions of membership
- You may have up to 20 items on loan at any one time.
- Items may be borrowed for a loan period of 3 weeks.
- Items may be renewed up to 5 times for 2 weeks each renewal provided they are not reserved.
- Items can be renewed in person, by phone or online from the library website or app.
- Items may be returned to any CNRL branch.
- Overdue notices are a courtesy reminder for your convenience. You can choose to receive these by email or in the post. You can also choose to receive a reminder via email 3, 5 or 7 days before the due date. CNRL does not charge overdue fees.
- Lost or damaged items will incur a charge for the replacement of the item/s including a processing charge of $11.00. Borrowing will be suspended until items are returned or paid for.
- To update your contact details, please notify the library or change details online by logging into your account on the website or app.
- Membership details are confidential and will not be disclosed to other parties.
- Please report lost cards to the library as soon as possible. You will be held responsible for any items borrowed before the loss is reported.
- Parents/Guardians are responsible for their children's (Under 18) selection and use of library materials and services, including access to the internet.
Acceptance
